ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt® R-28 Stone Wool Insulation is a premium semi-rigid batt insulation designed for 2" × 8" wood stud wall assemblies in residential and light commercial construction. Manufactured from natural stone and recycled materials, Comfortbatt® provides outstanding thermal performance, exceptional fire resistance, and superior sound absorption. Its flexible edges create a friction fit between wood studs, ensuring a snug installation without sagging or gaps while helping reduce thermal bridging and air movement. 

Each batt measures 23" wide × 47" long × 7.25" thick, providing an R-28 thermal rating for high-performance exterior wall systems. Each bag contains 4 batts, covering 30.03 square feet, with 12 bags per pallet. Unlike traditional fiberglass insulation, Comfortbatt® is water repellent, non-combustible, mold resistant, and dimensionally stable, maintaining its performance over the life of the building. ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation can withstand temperatures up to 2,150°F (1,177°C), providing an added level of fire protection for homes and commercial buildings.
