The Owens Corning Thermafiber® SAFB (Sound Attenuation Fire Blankets) Mineral Wool Insulation is a premium mineral wool batt insulation engineered to provide exceptional acoustic performance, fire protection, and thermal efficiency in commercial and residential wall, floor, and ceiling assemblies. Manufactured from non-combustible mineral wool fibers, SAFB insulation effectively reduces airborne sound transmission while contributing to fire-rated assemblies, making it an ideal solution for schools, hospitals, offices, hotels, multi-family housing, and institutional buildings.
Each batt measures 3" × 24" × 48", making it ideal for 2" × 4" wood or steel stud walls with 24" on-center framing. Each bundle contains 8 batts, covering 64 square feet, with 16 bundles per pallet for a total pallet coverage of 1,024 square feet. Thermafiber® SAFB is water repellent, vapor permeable, mold resistant, and dimensionally stable, ensuring long-lasting performance without sagging or settling.
